If I haven't said it before, let me make a point of it now: healing is very important in this game. Having a character who heals themselves is like not even taking the wound. In a game of very limited resources, a self-sufficient charater like a Hobbit Party Guest is very powerful.

How does he get those wounds? His other ability. Normally, you could play the Gaffer and heal Frodo once. One healing for one cost is rather standard, it's similar to Athelas. Now combo the Gaffer with the Guest and you can heal Frodo every turn. Add another Guest and it becomes twice a turn. The guests are flexible, too, letting you use one to heal the Gaffer and one to heal Farmer Maggot.

There's more creative tricks than his gametext. He's a great choice to exert for Thror's Map, A Talent For Not Being Seen, or Westfarthing. The party guest removes the cost of those abilities. When combined with Hobbit Farmers, you not only get a way to use Westfarthing at later sites, but you can use the Farmer repeatedly if the opponent is trying to take away your Site 1 with their own Farmer or Ulaire Nelya.

Just watch out for Their Power Is In Terror, that can end the party rather suddenly.
